Elfcare becomes first in Sweden to connect health data directly to OpenAI and Anthropic

Elfcare is now the first in Sweden to integrate its preventive health platform with Claude and ChatGPT. The integration lets customers allow the AI models to use their own examination and test results as context, so the answers they get are relevant to their own health.
"Many people already use AI to discuss their health, almost like a personal health advisor. But without your medical data, the advice is based on an average person. Now our customers can instead get personalised answers based on the comprehensive data our health check generates," says Julia Elf, CEO of Elfcare.
Elfcare's health checks combine full-body MRI and other advanced imaging with blood tests analysing more than 80 biomarkers. Together with a medical assessment and results that can be tracked over time, this gives customers a comprehensive body of health data. The new integration makes it easier for them to explore and understand that data themselves.
By connecting their health data to ChatGPT or Claude, customers can ask about anything from lifestyle changes to medical details. For example: "I want to start road cycling. What should I keep in mind?", "How can I adjust my diet based on my results?" or "My ApoB level is elevated. Can you explain in simple terms what that means?"
Making health data available in two of the world's leading AI services is in line with Elfcare's view of how people will want to use and interact with a growing amount of personal health data in the future.
"Today, your health data is scattered across different silos. In the future, we believe data from wearables, health checks and medical records will be brought together and used directly in the major AI models. That's both simpler and gives individuals far greater control over their own data," says Julia Elf.
