Full body MRI - detailed imaging for early detection

Full body MRI provides a radiation-free and detailed view of the body’s major organs and tissues. The examination can detect changes early, before symptoms appear, and complements the blood analysis with a physical image of your body.

What is full body MRI?

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is one of the most advanced tools in modern medicine and a technical marvel. Using powerful magnets and precise radio waves, clear three-dimensional images of the body are created – completely without radiation.

Thanks to major advances in imaging technology, full body MRI has recently become efficient enough to be used outside of research, making it possible to detect abnormalities and diseases early, before symptoms appear.

At Elfcare, we offer full body MRI covering all major organs, including the brain, as part of our comprehensive health assessment. The examination takes about an hour and is carried out in collaboration with leading hospitals and diagnostic partners.

FAQ

  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) provides detailed images of organs, tissues, and vessels without any radiation. It is the most reliable method for early detection.

  • Anyone who wants a deep understanding of their health, has risk factors or a family history of illness, or wishes to work proactively to prevent poor health and disease.

  • Typically every two to three years. In cases of specific risk factors or previous findings, an annual follow-up is recommended. Our doctors will help you create a personalized plan.

  • It takes approximately one week after your MRI and blood tests are completed to receive your results. Your results are always explained by your dedicated specialist physician, and you can later review them in detail on our patient platform.

  • We are a registered healthcare provider and follow the same medical protocols and responsibilities as public healthcare. If we find any abnormalities that require further investigation, we will either manage it internally or refer you to the appropriate specialist care facility.

  • We are available in Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg, Malmö, Lund, Karlstad, Jönköping, Sundsvall, and Umeå.

  • All information is handled in accordance with the Patient Data Act and GDPR. Only authorized medical personnel have access to your data, which is used strictly for medical purposes. Medical confidentiality always applies - your information is never shared without your consent.

  • Yes, our full-body scan can detect early signs of cancer and other serious conditions before symptoms appear.

  • EuroBonus is the SAS loyalty program where you earn points when you fly, shop, or use the services of partner companies.

  • You will receive 100,000 EuroBonus points when you complete a screening with Elfcare and provide your EuroBonus number at the time of booking. Points are earned on full-body screenings and cannot be combined with other discounts or referral bonuses. The offer applies only to new customers and points cannot be credited retroactively for screenings already performed.   • Yes, you can book a screening for yourself or someone else. There is no limit to how many screenings you can use to earn points; if you wish to purchase screenings for family members or friends, these are still eligible for bonus points. You can also purchase a screening for yourself or someone else now and keep it on account if, for example, you don’t have time to complete it right away. A pre-purchased screening must be used within 12 months of purchase.

  • With 100,000 EuroBonus points, you could, for example, book a round-trip to the USA or Asia in SAS Economy, upgrade to SAS Business, or use the points for several hotel nights, car rentals, or products in the EuroBonus Shop.

  • For EuroBonus members, the screening costs SEK 35,000 and generates 100,000 points.

  • To ensure the points are registered, you must provide your EuroBonus number when booking. You can then pay for your screening via invoice or credit card.

  • The points will be registered within 30 days after the payment has been completed.
