Brain MRI
A brain MRI is one of the most powerful examinations available for a detailed picture of the brain's structure and health.
Prevent brain-related conditions
Many of the most serious brain-related conditions, such as stroke, tumours, and early-stage MS — develop silently over a long period before producing clear symptoms. By the time symptoms appear, the condition has often already taken hold.
This is where early diagnostics make a real difference. A brain MRI can detect changes at an early stage, when the opportunities to act, treat, and optimise are greatest.
The brain is one of the areas examined in Elfcare's full-body MRI. The examination is complemented by comprehensive blood tests, and you meet with a specialist doctor both before and after — for preparation, a review of findings, and a personalised health plan.
What is a brain MRI?
MRI, or magnetic resonance imaging, is a diagnostic imaging method that creates detailed, three-dimensional images of the brain's structure and activity. Unlike X-ray or CT, MRI uses no ionising radiation. Instead, powerful magnetic fields combined with precise radio waves produce images of tissue with exceptional clarity.
A brain MRI gives our doctors the ability to assess the brain's anatomical structure, blood flow, fluid levels, and any structural abnormalities. The examination covers brain circulation, eyes, optic nerves and lenses, sinuses, and surrounding soft tissue such as muscles and lymph nodes.
The examination is completely radiation-free and can be repeated without risk — making it ideal for regular follow-up and proactive health monitoring.
